Dad : Wake up
Me : Twist n turn... tch.. tch... 'could have managed 2 more hours of sleep.. had slept at 3 yesterday nite ' ((THINK)) .. ' wow... what a bright sunny day.. ' ((SAY))
After all the brushing-cleaning-exercising-eating-bla-bla-bla and freeing myself of all the daily
humongous chores i finally got the chance of being with the one with whom my heart-n-soul lay... MY COMPUTER....
Switched ON the mains, switched ON the UPS... Power button...d slow boot... detecting IDE... DDR 226... Primary Slave.. Secondary Slave... Copyright @ Microsoft Corporation... Microsoft Windows XP... d 'Welcome'... nd lo my desktop....
The next is an involuntary action... my right palm flexes a little.. tries to move the mouse pointer from the (0,0) center co-od to the Nokia PC Suit short cut... but no change... Next i try it voluntarily... same effect... no change... I pour my brains over it.. pick up the pointer nd place it over the icon... duh... no change absolutely...
Anxiety grows... It comes to my mind that i must restart my computer before i start wailing nd let even my neighbours know that my cute looking-transparent OPTICAL MOUSE is dead (exaggerating da...i didn't do nythng like that)
My computer restarts... reboots... reloads... repeats all the above but my stubborn mouse pointer doesn't move an inch from (0,0)....
I check out its transparent body... it seems to emit less light... Memories flash by... the blue light which used to light up the entire mouse components comprising the little diodes... little PCB.. and a few other nano stuff.. has left its neighboring nano elements for heavenly abode....
(okies... i kno this is an insanely stupid description... but i cant exactly figure out what went wrong.... nd m not in what u would call a delighted mood..)
aftermaths ..........
## 1 : My keyboard was still alive n kicking.. nd with a few keyboard shortcuts the keys take me to my orkut homepage... 5 new scraps... but i can't figure out any new shortcut to read nd reply to them... ditto for the 2 new mails i have received....
## 2 : this post came into existence on pen-n-paper....
## 3 : the 600 i had earned for myself (the money refunded by BIT) goes into buying a new OPTICAL MOUSE... :((
## 4 : right now m desperately waiting for Smriti who has my 'MiddL-Earth-times' roller-ball-mouse....

well.. to start off... i guess most of the guys sitting at home and waiting for their joining and kinda addicted to net kick off their day on a similar note.. except with a difference.. their mouse doesnt leave them for heavenly abode!!! u know.. wen i was reading ur post.. i was kinda smiling and a lil worried... well tera mouse to hamesha ke liye bhagwaan ko pyara ho gaya naaa.. mera mouse rah rah kar behosh ho jata hai.. hmmm!! nahi samjhe?? well i was afraid and just hoping that my mouse doesnt keep sticking to the coordinate where it is after reading ur post.. cos it usually does that way!!
hell... thots come true.. what is it?? huh.. baah.. i hate it wen my mouse gets stuck.. well thank god i got a USB mouse.. atleast wont have to restart my system.. but hell.. will have to disconnect the net [:(] .. and to confess am too bad at using shortcuts!! **crying**
